The Care and Feeding of Your Graphic Designer: 3 Easy Steps

1. What is your preferred method of communication?

Traditionally, email is the preferred and most effective way for me to communicate with you. However, if you would like to discuss via phone a question or concern that’s great, too. I want to help and guide your project toward the best possible outcome and we can do whatever it takes.

2. Let’s discuss the design process.

Design projects are all about collaboration and communication toward a finished and approved design. I set out guidelines in the beginning and tailor it to each project. Timely feedback is something I welcome so that I can keep moving forward with our work.

3. Let me know your preferences.

I really value hearing what you like and what you don’t like. For example, are there certain colors or motifs you love? Is another company doing things that you really admire? Let’s take a look at those. It helps me hone in on designing something that you’ll truly love and that fits your brand and market. It gives me clear direction. Don’t be afraid to share your concerns, as it’s imperative to the process. Conversely, don’t wait until the end of the process to discuss these things. Working towards a solution for you in reverse is not the ideal situation we want to find ourselves in.
